The Roofing Doctor installs TPO roofing.

TPO membranes were officially introduced to the roofing industry in 1989, and today are among some of the most in demand roofing products.

TPO stands for thermoplastic polyolefin, and is a single-ply roof membrane made from ethylene propylene rubber.

TPO membranes are known for their welded seams, which are reported to be stronger than even those of EPDM. TPO membranes have excellent resistance to ozone, ultra-violet light, microbial growth, and chemical exposure. They are known for being heat-reflective, energy efficient, and environmentally friendly.

Because TPO membranes are made from rubber, they are very durable and resistant to tears and punctures. However, they are still very flexible to allow for movement during building and installation. TPO's are available in white, light gray, and black with thicknesses of either 45 mils (.045") or 60 mils (.060"). The width of the membrane depends on the manufacturer, but they generally come in widths of 6-6.5 ft and are 100 ft in length.

TPO membranes can be installed fully-adhered, mechanically-attached or ballasted. At Roofing Doctor, we can guarantee good quality workmanship in the installation of TPO membranes for your roof. Call or email us if you have any further questions, or to request a free estimate.
